Two Blades for the Arena Alone
The Arena plays by its own rules, so we forged two consumables that belong to it and nothing else.
Ranked duels against sharp opponents created problems the campaign never did. Against a player who reads you as well as you read them, the usual tools aren't always enough. So we built two consumables exclusively for the Arena — they have no use, and no place, in the Gauntlet.
The Piercing Strike drives your blow straight through your opponent's guard. The zone they chose to block simply stops mattering — for that one strike, their defence isn't there. Against someone who keeps guessing your target correctly, it's the answer: land the hit anyway.
The Cleanse is its mirror. The instant a stun lands on you, Cleanse breaks it and frees your blade — denying a rival the lock-down they were counting on. In a tight match, escaping a single stun can be the whole difference.
Both are arena-only by design. They exist to deepen the mind-game between two real players, where every counter invites a counter of its own. In the duel-for-rank, the right tool at the right instant can be the line between climbing and falling.
